  • NMSI Collection

    This microscope section of the Ingenious website is supported by the National Science Museum (UK).

    It is part of the Science & Society Picture Library and includes both photographs as well as brief descriptions of interesting or unique features for each instrument.



  • Golub Collection

    This is a comprehensive collection of antique microscopes donated to the University of California, Berkely by the Golub family. The microscopes span a period of time from the early 18th to 20th centuries.

    Each month, a microscope is featured along with a detailed description of it's unique features.

    As part of the Molecular Expressions website, the team of microscopists and graphic artists at Florida State University maintain an extensive collection of photos. These microscopes span a period of time from the 16th to 20th centuries.
